Speech Therapist (SLP)

Job Summary
We are looking for a caring and professional Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech therapy services to residents in our skilled nursing facility. The SLP will assess, treat, and support residents with communication and swallowing needs while working closely with families and the care team.
Essential Duties

Provide speech therapy services according to physician orders and department procedures.

Screen and evaluate residents to determine therapy needs.

Develop individualized treatment plans with clear goals.

Deliver therapy sessions and adjust treatment as needed.

Communicate evaluation results and progress with residents, families, and team members.

Create and teach home programs to support carryover of skills.

Document all evaluations, treatments, and resident progress.

Recommend and train on adaptive devices or equipment.

Participate in discharge planning and staff education.

Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.

Follow all safety, infection control, HIPAA, and company policies.

Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and productivity standards.

Assist with quality assurance programs and attend required training.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Current state SLP license
-
CPR certification
-
Experience in skilled nursing or geriatrics preferred

Strong communication and teamwork skills
