Grand Hyatt at SFO is seeking a reliable, skilled, and team-oriented Breakfast Cook to join our culinary team. This role is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality breakfast items with consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail while maintaining Hyatt’s standards for food quality, cleanliness, and guest service. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced hotel environment, takes pride in their craft, and is committed to creating an exceptional dining experience for guests each morning.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and plate breakfast menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and production timelines.
- Set up and stock assigned stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients prior to service.
- Ensure food is prepared and served at the proper temperature, portion, and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area throughout the shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Monitor product freshness and practice proper rotation, labeling, storage, and handling of all food items.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen inventory and supplies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with culinary and front-of-house colleagues to support smooth service operations.
- Support prep work for the following day and assist with additional kitchen duties as assigned by culinary leadership.
- Uphold Hyatt service standards and contribute to a positive, team-focused work environment.
This is an hourly position with a compensation of $32.58 per hour.

Qualifications
- Previous cook experience in a hotel, restaurant, resort, or high-volume food service environment preferred.
- Experience preparing breakfast items such as eggs, breakfast meats, potatoes, batters, baked goods, and à la carte menu offerings preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, sanitation practices, and kitchen safety procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork skills.
- Must be available to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.The primary shift will be AM, with start times as early as 4 AM.
- Ability to follow recipes, directions, and hotel culinary standards consistently.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull moderate to heavy items.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive kitchen tasks.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, and sharp equipment.
