Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Breeder Flock Manager to guide our operations with enthusiasm and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee multiple flocks, ensuring the health, genetics, and overall well-being of the animals in your care.
Responsibilities
- Help maintain policies and ensure that all Animal Welfare, SOP, and Safety protocols are being followed.
- In collaboration with company nutritionists, determine proper feed rations to use at various ages and production period of the flocks, and order feed from the mill weekly.
- Regularly monitor and enter lay flock egg production, fertility, feed consumption and other parameters into internal database as needed.
- Make regular visits to each breeder location.
- Routinely inspect chicken houses to ensure all SOP's are being followed.
- Train/Follow up on bio-security education and risk assessment with producers.
- Assist with vaccinations and other flock service tasks and monitor crew to ensure Animal Welfare practices are being followed.
- Maintain detailed records, health histories, and data for the life of the flock.
Qualifications
- Required to follow bio-security, animal care and welfare policies, and SOP's.
- Comply with OSHA regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for record keeping and data analysis
- Ability to learn and utilize the internal database and internal company programs.
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, and lift 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills in person, over the phone and via email.
- Must have good organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and continue education in job related fields.
Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
