Breeder Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Breeder Flock Manager to guide our operations with enthusiasm and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee multiple flocks, ensuring the health, genetics, and overall well-being of the animals in your care.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain policies and ensure that all Animal Welfare, SOP, and Safety protocols are being followed.
• In collaboration with company nutritionists, determine proper feed rations to use at various ages and production period of the flocks, and order feed from the mill weekly.
• Regularly monitor and enter lay flock egg production, fertility, feed consumption and other parameters into internal database as needed.
• Make regular visits to each breeder location.
• Routinely inspect chicken houses to ensure all SOP's are being followed.
• Train/Follow up on bio-security education and risk assessment with producers.
• Assist with vaccinations and other flock service tasks and monitor crew to ensure Animal Welfare practices are being followed.
• Maintain detailed records, health histories, and data for the life of the flock.

Qualifications

• Required to follow bio-security, animal care and welfare policies, and SOP's.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for record keeping and data analysis
• Ability to learn and utilize the internal database and internal company programs.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, and lift 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication skills in person, over the phone and via email.
• Must have good organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and continue education in job related fields.

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year

Education:

• Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

• equivalent: 4 years (Preferred)
