Bilingual (ENGLISH/SPANISH) Business Compliance Analyst

OBJECTIVE:
This is a role that sits between the compliance organization and the consumer finance business unit — serving as a bridge between the areas that ensures business operations follow laws, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. Instead of being purely compliance focused, this role often combines compliance oversight with business-unit collaboration: working alongside Financial Services to bring compliance into “day-to-day” business activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Support & Compliance Guidance
- Support business units by answering basic compliance questions and escalating more complex issues to senior team members.
- Assist with internal audits or reviews of processes as needed.
Monitoring & Controls
- Help review, maintain, and update the company’s compliance program, internal policies, controls, and procedures to reflect regulatory requirements and business needs for this business.
- Monitor the business processes to ensure compliance, track specific metrics/KPIs related to compliance program and prepare periodic reports for management to review.
- Conduct routine compliance monitoring such as reviewing transactions, exception reports, quality control findings, or audit results.
- Document monitoring outcomes clearly and maintain logs or trackers for follow-up items.
- Review internal systems, controls, and business processes for compliance.
- Run reports, pull data, and perform basic analysis (e.g., spotting anomalies, tracking trends, summarizing findings).
- Help identify trends or recurring issues and flag them to the Compliance Business Partner or Compliance Manager.
Policy, Procedure & Documentation Support
- Stay on top of changes in regulations, assess how such changes impact business operations and implement required changes — often working with other teams to adjust policies or controls accordingly.
- Assist in updating compliance policies, procedures, job aids, or training materials.
- Help maintain accurate compliance documentation, including regulatory obligations, control inventories, and evidence of completed reviews.
- Support implementation of new regulatory requirements by coordinating with business units and recording status updates.
Training & Communication
- Serve as a liaison of business to integrate compliance considerations into business decisions and processes. This involves “translating” compliance/regulatory requirements into actionable business guidance.
- Help prepare compliance training materials, presentations, or internal communication messages to foster a culture of compliance.
- Distribute policy updates and reminders in a clear and approachable way.
- Provide basic compliance guidance to front-line employees under the direction of senior partners.
- Understand and adhere to legal/compliance standards included in corporate policies and accept ownership for accomplishing existing tasks that fulfill legal/compliance requirements. Report compliance violations when identified.
