This position is responsible for the negotiation and preparation of contractual provisions and the administration of contracts and subcontracts. Performs a variety of complex tasks and advises internal departments regarding contract requirements. Position negotiates, prepares, manages contracts, and performs contract closeouts.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contract Management systems; Database software; Project Management software; Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Experience with Deltek software a plus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
This position includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Works with Contracts Director to ensure contract compliance, review terms and conditions, and ensure enforcement on contract start.
- May act as the authorized negotiator and signatory authority on contractual issues with authority from Contracts Director.
- Develops subcontracts, Associate Contractor Agreements (ACAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and transitions from Teaming Agreements (TA) for Contracts Directors approval .
- Examines drafts of contract performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Advises internal departments of contractual rights and obligations to fulfill contract requirements.
- Reviews subcontracts for conformity to Teaming Agreement (TA) requirements and determines acceptable contracts.
- Researches contract issues and monitors contract performance versus contract requirements.
- Requests or approves amendments to or extensions of contracts with direction from Contracts Director.
- Maintains contract and contractor status databases.
- Reviews all correspondence concerning contractors and responds as necessary.
- Establishes and maintains contact with customers, prime and subcontractors to ensure the smooth working of the contract process.

Education And/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and a minimum of fifteen (15) years government contracting, operations, program management, or industry experience preferred.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Eight (8) years DoD specialized acquisitions experience required.
