Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee safety protocols tailored to night shift operations, ensuring compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and root cause analysis to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Provide training and development sessions on safety procedures, first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), OSHA requirements, and environmental health practices to all night shift personnel.
- Maintain accurate report writing for incident investigations, safety audits, and compliance documentation to support ongoing safety initiatives.
- Coordinate with management to ensure workers' compensation law adherence and facilitate timely reporting of workplace injuries or incidents.
- Lead emergency response efforts by preparing safety plans, conducting drills, and ensuring readiness for incidents requiring first aid or other emergency interventions.
- Promote occupational health awareness by monitoring ergonomic practices, managing workers' compensation claims, and supporting wellness initiatives.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and occupational health principles.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and report writing related to workplace incidents or hazards.
- Certified in first aid and CPR; additional certifications such as OSHA training or environmental health are highly desirable.
- Experience in training & development programs focused on safety procedures and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation law processes and reporting procedures within industrial settings.
