Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, move, and position materials within the warehouse.
- Conduct order picking using RF scanners and other warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties, ensuring all inbound and outbound shipments are processed correctly.
- Handle materials with care during heavy lifting tasks, maintaining safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards.
- Manage inventory through proper stacking, storing, and organizing materials on pallets or racks to optimize space utilization.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by operating various mechanical tools and equipment for materials handling.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience operating forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, or other heavy equipment in a warehouse or construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and OSHA safety standards is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in warehouse supervision or team leadership roles is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation enhances efficiency and safety on the job site.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during order fulfillment tasks.
- Warehouse experience involving construction or industrial environments is beneficial for understanding complex logistics workflows.
