Branch Manager

A growing financial institution heavily involved in the Fintech space is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead the daily operations, service delivery, and staff management for the grand opening of one of its key retail banking locations. This individual will oversee all aspects of branch performance, ensuring operational excellence, strong risk and compliance practices, and an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate has a proven background in retail banking leadership, thrives in a hands-on operational environment, and is passionate about developing teams while maintaining high standards of professionalism and service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the branch and ensure full adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and support branch staff, including tellers and new accounts personnel, through ongoing coaching, training, and performance management.
• Coordinate the efficient delivery of deposit products and services to both retail and business customers.
• Open and close deposit accounts in accordance with bank policies and BSA/AML and other regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve general ledger reconciliations related to cash position, teller balancing, and branch transactions.
• Identify and escalate potential fraud, unusual activity, or risk concerns in line with established policies.
• Ensure proper dual control and operational controls are consistently followed.
• Conduct surprise counts, audits, and internal reviews as needed.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, and evaluating branch personnel.
• Resolve customer issues promptly while ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
• Identify process gaps or inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance branch operations.
• Collaborate with internal departments to support business needs and strategic goals.

Qualifications

• 3 years of progressive banking experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations, BSA/AML requirements, and retail banking operations.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and develop staff.
• Excellent organizational, decision-making, and multitasking abilities.
• Outstanding customer service orientation with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining ethical and professional standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with core banking systems is a plus.
