Yard Helper / Lumber Yard Associate
We’re hiring a dependable Yard Helper / Lumber Yard Associate to assist with loading, unloading, organizing, and preparing lumber and building materials. This is a hands-on, physical position for someone who enjoys working outdoors and staying active throughout the day.
What You’ll Do
- Load and unload lumber, building materials, and customer orders
- Organize and stock lumber, plywood, and construction supplies
- Prepare orders for customer pickup and delivery
- Assist customers with locating and loading materials
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other yard equipment as trained
- Inspect materials for damage or shortages
- Assist drivers and warehouse employees as needed
- Keep the yard clean, organized, and safe
- Perform general labor and basic yard maintenance
- Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Previous lumber yard, warehouse, construction, or general labor experience preferred
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Comfortable performing physical work throughout the shift
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Good attention to detail and safety
- Comfortable assisting customers and working as part of a team
