Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Account Executive (AE) to join our team. Based in Huntsville, the AE will play a critical role in growing our advertising business locally and across Alabama. The ideal candidate will be a proven sales professional with a passion for digital media, exceptional organizational skills, and a strong commitment to supporting the Huntsville community.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Generation
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities through leads, cold calls, networking, and referrals.
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand clients’ goals, challenges, and marketing needs.
- Develop tailored advertising proposals using Hville Blast, Bham Now, and The Bama Buzz platforms to meet client objectives.
- Maintain and grow client relationships, ensuring repeat business and customer satisfaction.
- Deliver persuasive and engaging presentations to potential clients.
- Monitor campaign performance and provide clients with insights to maximize results.
- Handle accurate invoicing and ensure timely payments.
Leadership & Team Collaboration
- Exhibit a positive, collaborative attitude that motivates the team.
- Communicate effectively with management, content teams, and operations to ensure seamless execution of client campaigns.
- Proactively identify opportunities for product improvement and revenue growth.
- Address client or operational challenges with solutions-oriented approaches.
- Participate in team initiatives and assist colleagues when needed.
Expertise in Digital Media
- Demonstrate sales success and share goal attainment metrics from prior roles.
- Analyze client needs to align with our offerings and market trends.
- Master our media products and services to craft effective advertising proposals.
- Ensure flawless execution of campaigns, meeting deadlines and expectations.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field (minimum 3.0 GPA).
- Experience: 3-5 years of proven success in advertising sales, preferably in digital media.
- Skills:
- Exceptional interpersonal, listening, and persuasive presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Passion: Strong appreciation for digital media, marketing, and communications.
