What are the responsibilities and job description for the Echocardiology Technologist position at HVHS Brand?
Department: Cardiology/Echo Lab, Work Hours: Full Time 8 hours/day, 5 days/week rotate Sundays, off holidays.
Will be required to travel between campuses. Must be flexible with schedule to meet departmental volume
The Echocardiography Technologist is responsible for the performance of echocardiography procedures requiring independent judgment, critical thinking skills and initiative. These procedures include, but are not limited to, transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography via save and appropriate use of echocardiographic imaging equipment.
Requirements:
Must be a high school graduate. Demonstrated technical knowledge and scanning proficiency in diagnostic cardiac imaging. Must be Registered or registry eligible through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Must demonstrate effective communication skills and work compatibly with patients, physicians, supervisors, and technologists. Must be adaptable to change.
Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.
Preferred:
Experience with computer applications
Previous experience in echocardiography/stress echocardiography
