HVG Systems has been providing IT services to our clients for 20 years and we are continuing to grow with offices in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
Our team collaborates and leverages our expertise in technology, integration, cyber safety, and infrastructure allowing our clients to focus on their business.
If you are selected to be part of our growing team, you will provide services to our clients at their offices and working on tickets and projects at HVG’s office.
HVG offers many opportunities to grow and expand your knowledge and experience working on firewalls, complex networks, and servers (on-premise and hosted).
We are looking for candidates that can hit the ground running with the following well rounded qualifications:
Required Working Knowledge & Experience:
- Installing and troubleshooting Windows based PCs and related hardware and software
- Knowledge and experience with Windows Desktop (Windows 10 & Windows 11), Microsoft Office 2016-2019, Microsoft365, Google Workspace, and basic networking knowledge
- Microsoft 365 user’s setup and support
- Windows Server level one support (Knowledge in Active Directory usage, Exchange users’ management, NTFS permissions)
- Working with desktop imaging and multiple installation profiles checklists
- Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot Wi-Fi technologies (WAPs & connected devices)
- Basic wiring and network cabling understanding
- Able to address and remove viruses and malware
- Able to install and resolve printers and MFPs (local/network/remote) issues
- Experience with setting and supporting secure VPN/MFA and Remote Desktop connection (client and terminal server environment)
- Knowledge and experience working with networks using DNS/DHCP/TCPIP
Must Have:
- Willing to travel to local clients’ offices as needed
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to present yourself and our company professionally at all times
- Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in IT support
- In depth knowledge of computer hardware and software
- Ability to determine IT needs and train end-users
- 3-5 years of IT experience
- Able to work with the team and independently
- Able to develop user documentation for clients
- Valid MN driver license & proof of insurance
- Reliable car
- Clean background check and driving record
- US Citizen
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users in the MPLS and St. Paul area.
- Manage computer systems and ensure their smooth operation.
- Troubleshoot software issues, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Assist with computer networking, VPN, and firewall configurations.
- Resolve hardware and software problems, including Mac OS troubleshooting.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while addressing IT support requests.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $47,500.00 - $55,000.00 per year
