We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Product Engineer to manage the full product lifecycle of our high-performance (HP) cleanroom products. This role is responsible for product specifications, design improvements, cross-functional coordination, and operational throughput enhancement.
The Product Engineer will play a critical role in improving cleanroom product designs and partnering with Operations to increase throughput of our HP products through our York HP room. This position requires hands-on filter design and construction experience and the ability to travel up to 50% to support customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
This position is based in York, SC.

Responsibilities
Product Lifecycle Management
- Own and manage the full product lifecycle from concept through production, sustaining, and end-of-life.
- Develop and maintain detailed product specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical documentation.
- Lead design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for assigned product lines.
- Cleanroom Product Design & Throughput Optimization (Key Responsibility)
- Improve cleanroom product designs to enhance manufacturability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Partner with Operations to increase throughput of HP products through the York HP room.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time and improve yield.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to streamline assembly and testing processes.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts related to product performance or production challenges.
- Design and develop filtration products and components, including structural and material considerations.
- Apply knowledge of filter construction (media selection, frame design, sealing methods, airflow performance, structural integrity).
- Validate product performance through testing and analysis.
- Support quality, compliance, and regulatory requirements as applicable.
- Coordinate with suppliers on component specifications and performance expectations.
- Work closely with Operations, Quality, Sales, and Supply Chain teams.
- Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Travel up to 50% to support field evaluations, customer visits, supplier audits, and manufacturing sites.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of product engineering experience.
- Proven experience in filter design and construction (air filters not required, but preferred).
- Experience managing product specifications and engineering documentation.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Ability to work onsite in York, SC.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
- Experience with cleanroom or high-performance (HP) products.
- Experience improving production throughput and manufacturing flow.
- Knowledge of airflow dynamics, filtration media, and structural design principles.
- Experience working in regulated or quality-driven manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with ERP and PLM systems.
- Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
