We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives on accuracy, deadlines, and building strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.

About the Role As our Mechanical Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, and/or piping projects from design through bid submission. You'll work closely with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure our proposals are competitive, complete, and profitable.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to prepare detailed material and labor estimates
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
• Perform quantity takeoffs using estimating software
• Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals by required deadlines
• Track and analyze bid results to refine future estimates
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure smooth handoff of awarded projects
• Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Stay current on material costs, labor rates, and industry trends

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in mechanical estimating (HVAC/plumbing/piping)
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., FastPIPE/FastDUCT, Trimble, Bluebeam, or similar)
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprints, and specifications
• Excellent math, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
