Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physician Liaison to build, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians and their office staff. The ideal candidate is a strategic, results-driven professional with a proven track record in healthcare sales or marketing. You will serve as the primary communication bridge, ensuring referring providers and the broader medical community are well-informed of our services, providers, and commitment to excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management:
- Conduct regular in-person and virtual visits to referring physicians and their staff to promote services, understand their needs, and address concerns.
- Act as the main point of contact for external providers, facilitating seamless communication and problem resolution.
- Organize and coordinate educational events, presentations, and one-on-one meetings between our providers and referring physicians.
Business Development:
- Develop and implement strategic outreach plans to increase patient referrals and expand market share.
- Analyze referral data and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities.
- Work to distribute collateral and execute effective marketing and outreach campaigns.
Information Gathering and Reporting:
- Utilize a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or equivalent tool to track all outreach activities, document feedback, and manage contacts.
- Provide regular reports to management on progress, market trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in regulations that may impact the healthcare landscape.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, healthcare administration, or other business-related field.
- Experience: 5 of experience in a physician liaison, healthcare sales, or business development role, with a proven track record of existing and strong physician relationships.
- Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking skills with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly and persuasively.
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills and natural ability to build rapport, earn trust, and maintain long-term professional relationships.
- Technical Proficiency: Competence with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
- Travel: Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are required, as this role involves frequent travel to physician offices within the designated territory.
- Self-Motivation: A proactive and results-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently to meet goals. Self-starter to take ownership in all tasks and projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (e.g. MBA, MHA) in relevant field.
- Prior experience working in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Previous experience in a physician relations or network development role.
- Strong attention to detail, with capabilities of creative and critical thinking.
- Prior experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
Job Type: Full-time, no fixed office location due to frequent travel.
Salary/Budget: $90-$110K Base commission

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
