What You’ll Do
We are seeking a Plumbing Designer for consulting work across multiple disciplines: multi-family, mixed use, commercial, retail, restaurant, educational, civic, and health care buildings. This is a mid-level role, depending on experience, ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring junior staff and steps up to provide solutions to nuanced problems.
- Support mechanical system design from concept through construction documents
- Coordinate with architects and internal engineers to ensure fully integrated designs
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and code compliance reviews
- Conduct QA/QC on plans, specs, and reports
- Lead or engage in client meetings

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in plumbing design for multi-family, mixed use, commercial, retail, restaurant, educational, civic, and health care buildings
- Proven experience in the design and implementation of plumbing systems
- Familiarity with the Uniform Plumbing Code
- Working expertise in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; experience with Revit is a plus
- HVAC design experience is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organization and time management skills with attention to detail
- Engineering or technical degree in relevant field preferred
What We Offer
We are targeting a base salary of $70,000 to $150,000, but is determined by several factors including education, experience, licensing, and a history of working in the Seattle area.
