Role: DevOps Engineer
Location: Remote

We’re partnering with a growing professional services DevOps consultancy that is hiring 2–3 Mid to Senior DevOps Engineers. This role is ideal for proactive, consultative engineers who enjoy solving complex infrastructure problems and working directly with clients.

This is a professional service–focused technology consultancy working directly with CIOs and CTOs across a wide range of industries. Rather than acting as a managed service, the team focuses on building, enabling, and teaching—helping client engineering teams adopt modern DevOps practices and operate independently.
You’ll join a small, fast-moving startup-style team with high ownership and visibility, while also benefiting from the stability of being backed by a larger, established organization with nine-figure annual revenue. The company is on a strong growth trajectory and expects to double in size over the next year.
The Team
- ~10 Engineers
- ~10 DevOps Engineers
- Engineers typically work on 1–2 client projects at a time
- Strong emphasis on collaboration, initiative, and real-world impact
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Building and operating Kubernetes-based platforms
- Creating cloud infrastructure using Terraform
- Implementing and improving observability and monitoring
- Working across cloud environments (Azure and GCP primarily; AWS welcome)
- Partnering directly with client engineering teams and leadership
- Teaching best practices and enabling client teams
- Roughly 70% DevOps-focused work, with 30% adjacent engineering efforts
Senior engineers may also:
- Support pre-sales or advisory engagements
- Contribute to technical strategy and solution design
What We’re Looking For...
Absolute Must-Haves
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Experience implementing observability and monitoring
- Cloud experience (preference for Azure or GCP, open to AWS)
Strong Requirements
- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab
- Kubernetes tooling such as Helm
- Infrastructure-as-Code and automation experience
- 5 years of professional experience (10 years a plus)
- Strong communication and consulting-style soft skills
- Proactive, client-facing mindset
Nice to Have
- Ansible
- Background in SaaS, startups, big tech, or consulting
- Interest or experience using AI or automation tools in DevOps workflows

- A technical interview focused on practical DevOps scenarios

Compensation
- Mid-level: $120,000 – $140,000
- Senior: $150,000 – $160,000
- (Higher range reflects involvement in advisory or pre-sales work)
