What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Superintendent position at Hutton Building Company?
Job Summary
Senior Superintendent – Custom Homes, Additions & Remodels
Hutton Building Company | Cary, NC (Triangle area) | Full-time Compensation:
$75,000–$105,000 per year
Is this you?
- Are you a construction junkie who stays up too late watching videos on the best waterproofing details?
- Do you slow down past other builders' jobs just to see how they flashed the windows?
- Does a clean, organized site make you happier than it probably should?
- Have you ever sketched a better detail on a scrap of 2x4 because you knew there was a smarter way to build it?
And when the work gets serious:
- Are you the person on site everyone turns to when the plans don't match what's in front of them?
- Do you see problems three weeks out and fix them before anyone else knows they existed?
- Do you run a job's budget and schedule like it's your own money and your own name on the sign?
- Do subs send you their best crew because your sites are ready, your word is good, and you treat them like partners?
- Can you tell a sub or a client something they don't want to hear, hold the standard, and still have the relationship the next morning?
- Are you organized enough that nobody ever has to chase you for an update?
- Do you want to work for a tech-forward, systems-driven builder instead of one run off a whiteboard and a pile of texts?
If you're nodding, keep reading.
