What are the responsibilities and job description for the Courier position at HUTCHINSON CLINIC P A INC?
Role:
Courier: Responsible for picking up and delivering packages to and from any Hutchinson Clinic Location. Focus will be Waldron Main Campus, Main St, Warehouse and South Hutchinson.
Inventory Control: Receives and stocks inventories, records and distributes supplies to departments.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- As Courier – Verify items for delivery are properly labeled, sorted; deliver supplies and items to appropriate departments on time.
- Inventory Clerk receives, stocks, and delivers the supplies/materials from warehouse to department.
- Keep storage areas and department vehicles in an orderly manner.
Performance Measures:
- Receive and distribute freight by end of day.
- Ensure all deliveries and pickups are made within appropriate time parameters, especially regarding lab specimens.
- Assist the warehouse lead in tracking supply orders.
- Maintain a friendly and professional relationship with all areas of the clinic.
- Abide by all clinic policies and guidelines.
- Report all customer and employee-related safety issues/hazards immediately, i.e. wet floors, slick sidewalks, etc.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience: Up to six months of similar or related experience.
- Education: Equivalent to a high school education.
- Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Ability to maintain confidentiality is a must.

Physical Requirements:
- Requires lifting up to 75 lbs.
