Hutchings Psychiatric Center (HPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), to join their team. Positions are available on day and evening shifts, including every other weekend. No previous psychiatric experience is required.


LPNs at HPC are part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on providing compassionate care and patient-centered and recovery-focused mental health services to individuals with serious mental illness.


LPNs at HPC, under the direction of a RN:

  • Perform nursing care tasks consistent with individual treatment plans
  • Administer medication
  • Attend to individuals’ personal care needs including daily living and hygiene tasks

Minimum Qualifications:

Licensed Practical Nurse

  • NYS License and current registration to practice as a practical nurse; or
  • NYS Limited Permit to practice as a practical nurse; or
  • Application on file for NYS Limited Permit to practice as a practical nurse.
