About This Role

We are seeking a highly organized, collaborative, and dependable Curriculum & Classroom Support Specialist to support our preschool program. This role provides essential instructional and documentation support for two Seattle Preschool Program classrooms by covering teacher planning time, assisting with curriculum implementation, and maintaining child observations and portfolios.

What You'll Do

  • Provide classroom coverage to support teacher planning time, PTO, and conferences
  • Support teachers with curriculum preparation and classroom organization
  • Review, organize, and maintain child observations and developmental documentation
  • Assist with the creation and upkeep of child portfolios and assessment records
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, organized, and completed in a timely manner
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and administration to support classroom quality and continuity
  • Prepare classroom materials and assist with learning experiences as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism with children, families, and staff

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field required
  • Experience working in preschool or early childhood education settings
  • Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Experience with early learning documentation, observations, and child portfolio systems preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable using technology for documentation and organization purposes
  • Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented

  • Experience supporting curriculum implementation in preschool classrooms
  • Familiarity with assessment and observation tools used in early learning settings
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
