About the Role

This role is fully onsite five days a week at our Miami, Florida office. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available for this position.

The Risk Coordinator will support Hut 8’s risk management and insurance programs across its diverse operations, including large-scale construction projects, energy infrastructure, bitcoin mining, and high-performance data centers. Reporting to the Risk Transfer & Insurance Strategy Manager, this role serves as a central operational hub for insurance and risk activities—ensuring policies, claims, and compliance processes run smoothly while helping strengthen Hut 8’s enterprise risk management framework as the business continues to scale.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate administration of Hut 8’s corporate insurance programs, including OCIP, property, general liability, builder’s risk, cyber liability, business interruption, and specialized operational coverages.
• Support insurance policy renewals by gathering underwriting data, exposure schedules, and operational updates from internal teams.
• Maintain insurance documentation including policy schedules, endorsements, certificates, and coverage summaries.
• Serve as a day-to-day liaison with insurance brokers, carriers, and third-party partners.
• Maintain organized records of insurance policies, certificates, and coverage documentation across the organization.
• Track and manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs) from vendors, contractors, and partners and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Support insurance compliance with contractual obligations, lender requirements, and project-specific insurance provisions.
• Work with operational teams across mining sites, energy infrastructure, and data center operations to identify and document potential risk exposures.
• Assist with collecting and analyzing operational risk data to support enterprise risk assessments and risk registers.
• Support internal risk reviews, audits, and cross-functional risk workshops.
• Coordinate claims intake, documentation, and reporting for property, liability, and operational incidents.
• Act as a point of contact between internal teams, insurers, adjusters, and brokers during the claims process.
• Track claims progress, maintain claims logs, and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
• Support post-incident reviews and help identify opportunities to reduce future losses.
• Assist with administrative and operational activities related to Hut 8’s captive insurance program, including reporting and coordination with captive managers and advisors.
  
  

About You

• 2–4 years of experience in risk management, insurance, claims administration, or a related field.
• Familiarity with commercial insurance programs and policy structures.
• Experience working with insurance brokers, insurers, or third-party claims administrators.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage documentation across multiple programs and entities.
• Comfortable working in operational environments involving infrastructure, energy, construction, or technology.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across internal teams and external partners.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong administrative and project coordination capabilities.
• Experience supporting captive insurance programs or alternative risk financing structures is a plus.
• Exposure to infrastructure-heavy industries such as energy, construction, data centers, or manufacturing is preferred.
• Familiarity with claims management systems or insurance tracking tools is a plus.
• Insurance-related certifications or coursework such as ARM, AINS, or progress toward CPCU or CRM are advantageous.
