Role Description The Graduate Assistant Football Coach internship is an on-site position located in Bangor, ME, supporting the Husson University football program while the individual pursues graduate studies. The Graduate Assistant will assist with daily coaching duties, including planning and conducting position group drills, supporting practice organization, and contributing to game preparation. Responsibilities may include film breakdown, scouting reports, data entry, and assisting with playbook development and opponent analysis. The role may also involve supporting recruiting efforts, coordinating with strength and conditioning staff, and helping monitor student-athlete academic progress in line with university and NCAA guidelines. The Graduate Assistant Football Coach will collaborate closely with the head coach and coaching staff to uphold team standards, foster a positive team culture, and ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all student-athletes.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of football strategy, techniques, and position-specific skills, with the ability to teach and communicate concepts clearly to student-athletes.

- Bachelor’s degree required and acceptance or eligibility for admission into a Husson University graduate program.
- Previous playing or coaching experience in football at the high school, club, or collegiate level is preferred.
