Title: Principal Software Engineer - Mobile, Web, Data, ML

Hushh is pioneering the concept of personal data management where individuals have complete control and ability to monetize their data. We are seeking Senior Principal Software Engineers who have the passion to craft beautiful, seamless user experiences and thrive on solving challenging technical problems.

Possessing previous experience as a founding engineer or early team member in a successful startup is highly desirable. If you've had a firsthand role in transforming a startup from the ground up ("0 to 1"), steering it through the uncertainties and challenges of the early stages, and contributing significantly to its growth and success, we would be very interested in hearing your story. This experience, combined with your ability to navigate high-pressure environments, make crucial decisions, and contribute across various facets of the business, can make you a great fit for our team.

We're particularly interested in those who can demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial mindset, showing resourcefulness, resilience, adaptability, and the capacity to wear multiple hats. If you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoy the thrill of building something from scratch, then this role at Hushh could be an excellent match for your skills and ambitions.

Responsibilities:

Architect, design, and implement high-quality full stack solutions to address complex business needs using the latest technologies.

Lead and drive data and machine learning engineering initiatives to understand, predict, and enhance user experiences.

Design and implement secure, robust, and scalable APIs to facilitate seamless data flow and third-party integrations.

Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to build impactful features aligning with our business goals.

Drive the technical roadmap and set standards for software design, coding, testing, and production readiness.

Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and customer-centric design within the engineering team.

Take responsibility for the performance and reliability of solutions, ensuring they are robust and scalable in a production environment.

Mentor, coach, and grow a diverse team of software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Technical Requirements:

Proven expertise in mobile architecture design patterns and best practices, including MVP, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.

Deep knowledge of mobile app performance optimization, security, and user experience. Familiarity with app accessibility guidelines and internationalization (i18n) best practices is a plus.

Proficiency in AI/Machine Learning application development, with experience in on-device machine learning using platforms like TensorFlow Lite or Core ML.

Experience with modern continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or GitLab.

Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.

Familiarity with cloud-native application development and microservices architectures.

Knowledge of event-driven and real-time application development.

Experience with version control systems, especially Git, and code review tools like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.

Proficiency in test-driven development (TDD), behavior-driven development (BDD), and understanding of the principles of S.O.L.I.D, DRY, and YAGNI.

Understanding of DevOps principles and Agile development methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.

Familiarity with different data storage technologies, including traditional SQL databases, NoSQL databases, in-memory databases, and cloud storage services.

Experience with data streaming technologies like Kafka or RabbitMQ.

Remember, we are not just looking for engineers who can check all these boxes. We value curiosity and the ability to learn quickly. So even if you don't meet all these requirements, but have a strong foundation in software engineering and a deep passion for learning, we would love to hear from you.

Personal Requirements:

Deep-rooted curiosity, commitment to learning, and desire to challenge the status quo.

Outstanding collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to effectively work in a team environment.

A passion for mentoring and growing team members, with a track record of fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Passion for improving user experiences through the innovative use of personal data.
