Abrasive Segment Grinding & Finishing Operator

Join Husqvarna Construction in Columbia, SC and help transform components into high‑performing diamond blades used by pros everywhere.

Shift: 2nd shift, Monday - Friday 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

• Hands-on work where precision matters and your impact is visible at the end of every shift.

• Run auxiliary operations that support radius grinding, OD grinding, brazing, and finishing.
• Load and machine abrasive segments for accurate radius grinding.
• Wash, sandblast, and polish cores to production-ready condition.
• Assist with fixture loading on manual lasers.
• Transport materials and blades between work areas to maintain flow.
• Load, sharpen, mark, and mask blades ahead of finishing steps.
• Hang and remove blades from the paint line.
• Adhere to OSHA/EPA and company safety standards at all times.

• Organize and select proper tooling for each operation.
• Perform routine equipment cleaning and light maintenance.
• Complete visual inspections and document completion/quality data.
• Work closely with Quality Control to meet inspection requirements.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic math skills and comfort with the metric system.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to stand/walk on concrete floors for full shifts.
• Strict adherence to PPE and safety protocols.
