Duties
- Read and interpret, schematics, and construction plans to ensure precise installation of hardscape features.
- Prepare sites by grading, excavating, and setting forms for concrete pouring or stone placement.
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely to cut, shape, and install materials such as pavers, bricks, natural stone, and concrete.
- Install drainage systems, plumbing components, and electrical elements as needed for integrated landscape features.
- Execute finishing tasks including caulking, sealing, staining, and applying surface treatments to ensure durability and visual appeal.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to coordinate project timelines and ensure quality standards are met throughout the process.
- Conduct site inspections to verify proper installation techniques, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications.
Experience
- Proven experience in hardscape installation or related construction fields such as masonry, carpentry, or concrete finishing.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and other technical drawings relevant to landscape construction projects.
- Hands-on knowledge of using hand tools (e.g., chisels, trowels) and power tools (e.g., saws, drills) safely and effectively.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as skid steers or mini-excavators is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction management principles. Assisting estimating costs and managing project timelines is a major plus.
- Knowledge of various construction techniques including masonry, plastering, framing carpentry, roofing basics, restoration work, and tile laying is highly desirable.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety protocols at all times.
