Husker Dental is looking for an experienced, friendly, and dependable Dental Assistant who is X-ray and prophy certified to join our team!
We are a privately owned, single-dentist practice that takes pride in providing quality dental care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. We believe in building lasting relationships with our patients and creating happy, healthy smiles.
At Husker Dental, we don't have production or collection quotas. We focus on doing what's best for our patients, not chasing numbers.

Schedule, Pay & Benefits
- Pay: $20–$26 per hour, based on experience, skills, and patient-focused attitude
- 4-day workweek: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- 30-minute paid lunch break

What You'll Be Doing
- Provide chairside assistance during general and restorative dental procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care.
- Perform coronal polishing (prophy) within the scope of certification.
- Take diagnostic dental X-rays.
- Perform digital intraoral scans using our iTero Lumina scanner.
- Fabricate temporary crowns and assist with restorative procedures.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care.
- Maintain accurate dental records and treatment documentation.
- Follow sterilization and infection-control protocols.
- Help manage dental supplies and maintain organized treatment rooms.
- Work collaboratively with the dentist and team to create an excellent patient experience.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current coronal polishing (prophy) certification
- Current dental radiography (X-ray) certification
- Current CPR certification
- A positive, compassionate, patient-first attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependability, attention to detail, and willingness to help wherever needed
Preferred:
- Previous dental assisting experience
- Experience with iTero digital scanning
- Familiarity with Dentrix software
- Ability to anticipate the dentist's needs and maintain an efficient clinical workflow
