What You’ll Build
- Lead large, complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, driving successful delivery of scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of project plans, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Project Engineers, and project teams.
- Partner with Preconstruction during bidding, subcontractor procurement, buyout, and scope review.
- Own project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and change management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other key project stakeholders.
- Oversee project documentation, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, procurement logs, and project records using Procore and other project management tools.
- Identify project risks early and implement proactive solutions that keep projects moving forward.
- Ensure compliance with Owner Contracts, company policies, and all OSHA, EPA, ODH, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Support business development efforts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support successful project and company outcomes.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8 years of progressive experience in commercial construction project management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience managing large, complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, contract administration, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and relationship management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and internal teams.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
- Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Office Suite, and other construction management software.
- Fit to Work / OSHA 30 certification.
