Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform general labor with expert knowledge of building or repairing walls in accordance with construction plans, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to SSRG safety standards.
- Lead small teams by planning, delegating, and monitoring daily and weekly tasks, ensuring work is completed efficiently and in line with production goals.
- Mentor and develop entry-level employees, fostering growth and collaboration within the team.
- Build or refurbish chimneys, arches, and other structural elements with craftsmanship that reflects SSRG’s legacy of excellence.
- Perform demolition and tear-down work with strict attention to safety protocols and jobsite protection.
- Continuously develop personal skill sets while encouraging team members to improve their own abilities; provide clear and consistent communication to keep the crew aligned.
- Perform a variety of duties in a timely manner, meeting job requirements and exceeding client expectations.
- Uphold SSRG’s core values on every project: show grit in overcoming challenges, take pride in results, foster collaboration across the team, and build a lasting legacy through quality craftsmanship.
- Perform “other duties as assigned” with professionalism and a solutions-focused mindset.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5–10 years of experience working with concrete, caulking, and welding.
- Minimum of 3 years as a proven successful Lead Carpenter or Senior Technician.
- OSHA 30 Certification required.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required
- Capable of passing a drug screening and background check if required by the employer
- A valid driver’s license is required for this role. For some locations or clients, a REAL ID-compliant license may be necessary to gain access to secure facilities. If you do not currently have a REAL ID, we encourage you to apply—we can assist with next steps.
- This position requires the ability to work out of town, possess a valid driver’s license, and have reliable transportation.
- Travel within the South East region - TN, MS, LA, AL, FL etc.
- Candidates must also be willing to work Saturdays and be comfortable working at heights.
