What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Driver / Operator Jetter-Vacuum Truck position at Hurt & Proffitt?
We are a growing underground utility and municipal services contractor looking for experienced Class A CDL Drivers to operate combination Jetter-Vacuum Trucks for sewer/storm drain cleaning and hydro excavation projects. Responsibilities:
- Operate high-pressure jetter and vacuum trucks (Vactor, Camel, Vac-Con style) to clean sanitary sewers, storm drains, lift stations, and catch basins
- Perform safe hydro excavation (potholing utilities, daylighting, trenching, etc.)
- Locate and expose underground utilities for contractors and municipalities
- Complete daily pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Accurately fill out driver logs, job tickets, and digital reporting
- Work safely in traffic and around underground utilities (training provided)
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 points in the last 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of recent jetter-vac or vacuum truck experience strongly preferred
- Willing to work overtime and occasional weekends
- Physically able to handle hoses, climb in/out of truck, and work outdoors in all weather conditions
