Production Manager - Label Division

With our unique products produced at this site, we have increased product demand with our plans to expand and grow our workforce in our Prepress, Press and Slitting departments.
The Job:
- Manage day to day flexographic label production operations for both California and Washington facilities. Occasional visits to WA facility as needed.
- Manage QC, during production process, incoming and outgoing product.
- Technical understanding of the production equipment and coordinating repairs and maintenance with the employees and vendors when needed.
- Implement mechanical and other technological improvements to existing process.
- Research and Development for new label materials, adhesives, inks, and converting equipment.
- Assist in purchasing of raw materials, various items needed for production and managing upkeep for both locations.
- Collaborate cross-functionality with art, sales, finance, and equipment departments, facilitating seamless workflow and timely outputs. Support equipment department in troubleshooting field issues and customer complaints.
- Maintain a high level of organization, suggest, and improve current processes and increase department efficiency.
- Long-term projections on asset utilization, working with vendors on securing supply chains and formulating backup strategies on critical supplies.
- Update production schedules and assist with resource planning/ allocation.
- Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for continuous improvement throughout.
- Root cause analysis and corrective actions on product issues, failures, and quality discrepancies.
- Implementation and continuous improvement of Label Traxx Software use.
- Other duties assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication - can exchange information confidently to customers, vendors, colleagues and senior management.
- Technical proficiency related to flexographic printing process, and all related equipment and tooling (i.e. printing plates, inks, varnishes, die cutting process, pre-press parts, press parts, slitter parts, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience with industry vendors and suppliers.
- Above average organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Able to extend personal work schedule when the workload occasionally demands to increase.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has good time management skills while meeting deadlines.
- Able to solve non-recurring, poorly defined production problems and think outside the box.
- Meticulous and high attention to details.
- Strong work ethic that emphasizes a team-based approach to challenges.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
