Role Overview
As an Account Manager at Hurricane Logistics, you’ll combine strategic sales skills with hands-on operational oversight to deliver exceptional transportation solutions for our clients. You’ll identify new opportunities, grow lasting partnerships, and ensure every shipment runs smoothly from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively develop and close new business opportunities to expand your client portfolio
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and carrier partners
- Ensure operational excellence—monitor loads, resolve issues, and maintain carrier compliance
- Meet and exceed sales targets and performance KPIs
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
Required:
- Proven success in sales, business development, or account management, ideally within a 3PL or freight brokerage setting (1–2 years minimum)
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with a customer-first mindset
- Excellent verbal communication and relationship-building abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer literacy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
Preferred:
- 2–5 years of freight brokerage or logistics sales experience
- Demonstrated success in building and growing a client book of business
- Deep understanding of transportation distribution and pricing strategies
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a sense of urgency
