Hurricane Hanks is looking for well qualified cooks to join our team on a permanent basis. This is not a "season churn and burn" position but rather a unique opportunity to join us permanently. In addition to market pay rates there are several fringe benefits available to qualified individuals. .
We are looking for a saute/grill cook who knows how to maintain food quality and integrity when it gets busy. Someone who thrives by being kept busy and is a self-starter during slower times to keep the kitchen in tip top shape. We believe in "if you have time to lean you have time to clean". This is an opportunity to work a combination of day and evening shifts. If your ego is bigger than your shoe size our kitchen is too small for you. If your personal use of your cell phone while on company time is longer than it takes to sauté vegetables we aren't right for you. If you have never head of "if you have time to lean you have time to clean" we aren't right for you.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
- Plans or assists in specials, ordering and prep work
- Prepares main dishes via sauté and grill.
- Ensures that the kitchen and all equipment are kept clean and in good working order
- Oversees and assists in cleaning the kitchen area upon completion of food preparation
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will be a self starter, punctual, well organized and able to work a variety of shifts including weekends. They must also be very professional, calm and personable.
