Job Summary
Huron Security, Inc. is currently seeking a highly reliable and experienced Armed Security Guard Supervisor to oversee security operations across four distinct locations within the Detroit metropolitan area. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a commitment to safety and protocol, and the flexibility required to manage a dynamic security environment. This role is crucial for maintaining the highest standards of Huron Security’s operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and manage a team of armed security guards across four assigned locations in Detroit.
- Conduct regular, professional site visits to ensure guards are adhering to all established procedures, post orders, and safety regulations.
- Prepare detailed, accurate, and timely reports on all supervisory activities, incidents, and site conditions.
- Ensure the operational readiness of the assigned security vehicle, including performing routine fueling and basic checks.
- Be available to work flexible hours, including mandatory emergency shifts or coverage for unexpected personnel shortages.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and management regarding site security performance and issues.
- Respond effectively to critical incidents and emergencies, ensuring all protocols are followed and appropriate documentation is completed.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in armed security, with at least one year in a supervisory or lead role preferred.
- Licensure: Must possess a valid Concealed Pistol License (CPL) and all required state/local armed security guard certifications.
- Reliability: Proven track record of reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Driving: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation to commute between sites and for emergency responses.
- Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and mandatory emergency call-in shifts.
- Skills: Excellent communication, reporting, and conflict resolution skills. Proficient in basic computer applications for report generation.
