Status: 80 hours per two week pay period; will be required to be on an on-call rotation
Shift: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Job Schedule: Full time

Job Summary
Provides expert-level experience in the repair, calibration, and maintenance of medical equipment, instrumentation and support systems used in healthcare delivery. Executes professional-level inventory assessment/audits and preventive maintenance of medical equipment. Provides remedial corrective maintenance and maintain documentation of all service events, tests, and maintenance performed on biomedical equipment.

Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent in electronics, with knowledge of biomedical equipment maintenance preferred. Candidates without prior biomedical equipment experience may be considered if they demonstrate a willingness to learn and complete required on-the-job training and courses.
- Related experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment is preferred, but not required for candidates willing to complete employer-provided training and required biomedical equipment courses.
- Knowledge of plant operations and systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, electrical, medical gas, sanitation, and potable water is preferred, with training available as needed.
- Current valid South Dakota driver’s license.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, manuals, and other documents.
- Willingness and ability to participate in required training, educational courses, and competency assessments to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the position successfully.
Working Conditions
- Work is both indoors and outdoors in all areas on the campus with frequent exposure to loud noise, extreme temperature, dirt, dust, oil, grease, odors and fumes from oil and gas.
- Work involves standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and bending with much walking throughout the campus. Lifting is light (exerting/lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, or a negligible amount constantly) to moderate (exerting/lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently and 10 pounds constantly), but may at times require heavy (exerting/lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently and 20 pounds constantly) lifting and carrying.
- Requires bending, squatting, crawling, reaching and climbing ladders up to roof-top elevations.
