We are hiring a skilled metal fabricator/mig welder with 5 years experience. We produce a wide variety of fabrications both large and small from many industry sectors. In addition to metal fabrication we operate a large batch powder coating facility as well as a machine shop in our clean 70,000 square foot building.
Position Summary Primary Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
- Operate powered industrial equipment - fabricating machines such as rolls, press brake, saw, forklift, etc. in accordance with Huron’s safe operating procedures
- Other duties as directed
Qualifications
REQUIRED
Experience
5 years of MIG welding and metal fabrication.
Experience reading a variety of diagrams/prints from different companies.
Must pass pre-employment weld and fit up assessment
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Soft Skills
Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment
Attention to detail
Good communication skills, oral and written
Physical Demands/ Working Conditions
Ability lift and manipulate 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds without assistance or equipment.
Ability to work 6am-4pm, Monday through Friday, paid OT
