Position Overview
As a Union Commercial Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems across a wide range of facilities. You'll work closely with our commercial clients, ensuring their systems operate efficiently and reliably. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems (rooftop units, chillers, boilers, heat pumps, VRF systems, etc.)
- Perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC systems according to contract requirements
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of service needs and solutions
- Document all work performed in accordance with company and union standards
- Collaborate with dispatch and service managers to ensure timely completion of work orders
- Adhere to all safety procedures, regulations, and union requirements
Qualifications
- Current union membership (Sheet Metal Workers/Plumbers & Pipefitters or equivalent local union)
- 3 years of experience servicing commercial HVAC equipment preferred
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
