Our HVAC, plumbing, and electrical techs are only as fast as the quality of parts support they have. You’re the person who makes sure the right material is in the right place, at the right time, and have fun doing it!
Hurlburt Heating, AC, Plumbing & Electrical has served homeowners since 1959. We’re a rapidly growing team that takes the details seriously. We are looking for an ideal candidate to joint the team and help build and expand our purchasing, inventory, and warehouse operations.
This role combines purchasing, inventory management, and warehouse coordination to ensure our technicians have the parts and materials they need to serve our customers efficiently.
What you’ll do
- Place stock orders and source special-order parts for technicians
- Own the purchase order lifecycle from placement through delivery
- Build vendor relationships — and lean on them to expedite parts and hold competitive pricing
- Receive shipments, stock materials, and stage parts for upcoming jobs
- Run cycle counts and inventory audits
- Track item velocity and usage to keep stock levels right — not too thin, not tied up
- Unload deliveries and keep the warehouse clean and organized
- Operate a forklift and pallet jack (training available)
A typical day
Receive a pallet of HVAC parts and get it stocked. Order material for the week’s plumbing, HVAC or electrical installs. Track down a hard-to-find part a tech needs today. Run cycle counts on your fastest-moving SKUs. Stage equipment for tomorrow’s install crew.
What we’re looking for:
Required
- 1 years in purchasing, inventory, warehouse, parts counter, or inside sales
- Comfortable splitting your day between a computer and the warehouse floor
- Solid with Excel and able to learn a new inventory system quickly
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand, bend, and move throughout the day
Nice to have
- HVAC, plumbing, or electrical supply house experience
- Experience with ServiceTitan or a similar ERP/inventory platform
- Current forklift certification
