Position Summary
The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for organizing, maintaining, and safeguarding resident medical records in accordance with federal, state, and facility requirements.
Responsibilities
Maintain, organize, and update resident medical records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
File, retrieve, and archive records in accordance with retention and facility policies.
Ensure confidentiality and security of health information in compliance with HIPAA and facility procedures.
Maintain adequate levels of forms and records-related supplies.
Assist nursing and other departments with record requests, copying, and chart preparation as needed.
Perform other medical records duties as assigned by facility management.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior Medical Records Or Healthcare Office Experience Preferred.
Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred.
Strong organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
