What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Clinic- Pre Admissions- PT- 1st Shift position at Huntsville Hospital System?
Overview
Prepares patients for surgery by performing diagnostic test required by the surgeon and anesthesiologist, documenting past medical/surgical history and current home medications and reporting abnormal results to the appropriate person (surgeon, nurse practitioner, anesthesia evaluator, etc.). The pre-admission RN also prepares patients for the cath lab and other hospital admissions.
Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
Education: BSN preferred. Graduate of accredited school of nursing with current Alabama license required.
Experience: Prefer three years varied clinical experience as RN
Additional Skills/Abilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage situations related to family and visitors, patients of varied ages and needs, physicians and other hospital departments. A positive attitude toward healthcare members and diverse patient populations. Proficient computer skills. Exhibits diplomacy and time management skills.
