Overview
The Lead APP is a clinical team leader, mentor, supporter, and clinician resource. The Lead should always encourage and promote teamwork while appreciating and nurturing the strengths and abilities of every team member. The Lead APP is responsible for providing leadership by example to all the APPs in their area. The Lead will assist in building highly reliable, high performing APP clinicians who are part of the physician-APP team to produce effective outcomes for the patients of this organization. They collaborate with the physicians, nursing, management, hospital medical staff, and administration to ensure the care delivery model achieves high-quality care that satisfies the needs of our patients, the department, the hospital, and the community. The lead is accountable for creating an inclusive work environment. This position will function as liaison between the APPs in the area, nursing leadership, physicians, medical staff, and hospital administration. The Lead will continue to maintain their clinical duties without the addition of any administrative hours.
Qualifications
Education: PA or NP Degree with 5 years of specialty related experience and 3 years of HH tenure.NCCPA or Nursing Board Advanced Practice Certification. Alabama Physician Assistant license or Alabama Nurse Practitioner License. Credentialed and in good standing with the HH Medical Staff without disciplinary actions
