Overview
The Histology technician performs high volume, repetitive tests in an anatomic pathology laboratory using standard procedures, identifies causes of technical and instrumental problems.
Qualifications
Education: HS/GED Required
License, Certification or Registration: Certification as HT (ASCP) preferred within 3 months of hire
Experience: Other Lab Certifications considered with Pathology experience
Additional Skills/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be able to maintain absolute confidentiality in the handling of patient information. Absolute integrity and accuracy in the identification and reporting of number and names.
