Overview:
Education: Reading, writing, basic math skills such as addition and subtraction and good communication skills are a must.
The primary purpose of the Hospitality Aide is to obtain food preferences from patients at bedside and translate those preferences into healthy, appetizing meal trays to ensure an excellent patient food service experience. This position works closely with patients and kitchen staff to ensure the patient remains nourished and satisfied with meal offerings throughout their stay.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Follows directions and performs work according to departmental standards.
- Demonstrates competency to deliver food trays to patients by verification of the two patient identifiers. “Name and Date of Birth”
- Demonstrates through actions, proper sanitation measures when handling, preparing, serving and retrieving patient trays. This will include handling of silverware, cleaning food carts, washing dishes as needed and keeping work area clean at all times.
- Demonstrates through actions, knowledge of diets when preparing meals and serving trays.
- Demonstrates through actions, assisting with entering proper patient information into CBord as directed.
- Demonstrates proper portion control when preparing and serving food.
- Demonstrates through actions, the ability to effectively run a cash register in relief.
Performs additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience: Willing and able to demonstrate outstanding customer service and critical thinking skills
