Huntsville Health Care Center is seeking a dependable and caring Full-Time Housekeeper to join our environmental services team.

Housekeeping is an essential part of resident care. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, families, visitors, and employees. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, notices the small details, and understands the importance of treating every resident and their personal space with dignity and respect.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, hallways, and other assigned spaces
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces according to facility standards
• Empty trash and dispose of waste properly
• Make beds and assist with room preparation as assigned
• Replenish paper products, soap, and other supplies
• Follow isolation, infection-control, and sanitation procedures
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to instructions
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and supply areas in a clean and organized condition
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or changes in resident rooms to the appropriate team member
• Respect resident privacy, belongings, preferences, and personal space
• Communicate courteously with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers
• Assist with deep cleaning, room changes, and discharge cleaning as needed
• Follow all facility safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements
• Complete additional housekeeping duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, hospitality, or healthcare experience is preferred but not required
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• Respectful and compassionate approach when working around residents
• Ability to safely use cleaning products and equipment
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform the bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting required for housekeeping duties
• Availability to work scheduled weekends and holidays as needed
