What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sports Administration Intern (Spring 2026 Semester) position at Huntsville Havoc?
The Huntsville Havoc are searching for college students or post-graduate individuals looking to gain experience in the highly competitive field of sports business. We are looking for interns who are willing to go above and beyond what is asked of them on a daily basis, and are strong and independent workers who can handle a wide variety of tasks. We ask for dependability and commitment, as we will work together as a team.
HAVOC INTERNSHIPS WILL BE COMPENSATED PER GAME WORKED; HOWEVER, WEEKLY OFFICE HOURS WILL BE UNPAID, FOR COLLEGE CREDIT.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer phones and handle customer questions effectively.
- Sell single-game and group ticket packages.
- Demonstrate the ability to assist all departments with customer outreach efforts.
- Data entry and maintenance of operations & ticketing spreadsheets.
- Attend philanthropic events in the surrounding communities.
- Monitor and update inventory for merchandise and rewards programs.
- Assist Fan Experience Coordinator in developing and implementing new Rewards concepts.
- Work ALL home game days as a Fan Experience, Operations, or Tickets Representative.
Internship Requirements
- Current college student or recent graduate.
- Ability to provide your own housing and transportation to and from the Huntsville area.
- Ability to work ALL home game days and special events, including weekends and holidays.
- Enthusiasm, creativity, and a desire to learn.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
- Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills to all fans.
- Familiarity with TM1 Sales preferred, but not required.
