Role Description
This is a full-time position for a Compounding Pharmacy Technician located in Huntsville, Alabama. The Compounding Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for accurately preparing and compounding medications, including measuring chemicals and operating lab equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Compounds may be sterile or non-sterile. Technicians are responsible for ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory standards, appropriate use of personal protective equipment, keeping accurate records, providing top notch customer service, and maintaining a pristine environment. All team members are expected to be prompt and reliable.
Qualifications
- Scientific lab or compounding experience.
- Lab skills including but not limited to containment hoods, digital scales, techniques compatible with avoiding cross contamination, and familiarity with personal protective equipment.
- Location in Huntsville, Alabama or surrounding areas
- Active Pharmacy Technician registration in the state of Alabama or eligible.
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Interest in process improvement and personal development
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work space
