Position Title: Passenger Services Agent (Wheelchair Assistant)
Location: Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC), Anchorage, Alaska
Pay Rate: $16.25 per hour
Shift: Evening Shift: Start Time 5:30 PM
Position Summary
Huntleigh USA is seeking dependable, customer-focused individuals to join our team as Passenger Services Agents (Wheelchair Assistants) at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC). In this role, you will provide exceptional assistance to airline passengers requiring mobility support while ensuring a safe, positive, and professional travel experience.
The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent customer service skills, professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to assisting passengers with dignity and respect.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist passengers requiring wheelchair services throughout the airport terminal.
- Escort passengers to and from gates, ticket counters, baggage claim areas, and other airport locations.
- Provide assistance during arrivals, departures, and flight connections.
- Safely transport passengers using wheelchairs and other mobility equipment.
- Communicate effectively with airline personnel, airport staff, and passengers.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
- Adhere to all airport security procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Handle passenger inquiries courteously and direct travelers to appropriate resources when necessary.
- Report operational or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Attend required training sessions and meetings.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to pass all required background checks and obtain airport security clearance.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to push and maneuver occupied wheelchairs safely.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Schedule
- Evening shift beginning at 5:30 PM.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and additional hours as operationally required.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or equivalent may be required in some locations.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Ability to read, writes, speak, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test as required (DOT or Non DOT) and submit to
random testing requirements.
