Supervise blood collection at fixed and/or mobile sites to ensure an efficient, effective and compliant process. Supervises staff, creates a team environment and provides leadership needed to maintain customer safety and satisfaction during the blood collection process. Supports and enforces established policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement projects, safety, environment of care and infection control guidelines. Performs duties in any nursing capacity as needed. Is the on-site/mobile site supervisor for all go-to-issues by staff, physicians, donors and patients. This position may require flexibility of hours. EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: Minimum 3 years clinical experience required. 3 years experience in a Blood Donor Center setting preferred. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Required: Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association SKILLS: Demonstrates leadership and management skills and abilities; excellent interpersonal relationship skills. Demonstrates flexibility when faced with a fast-paced and changing work environment. Is a proactive team player and enjoys working in a collaborative work setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exemplary communication, organization, and problem solving skills. Ability to manage multiple activities and priorities within complex systems. Ability to work with all levels of personnel to achieve positive donor and patient outcomes. Competency to utilize computer systems including Health Information System and Office applications at an intermediate level is expected. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
