Hours:
- 40 hours/week
- Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm
- Work flexible hours with overtime, including Saturdays
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Ability to do documented pre-trip inspection including fifth wheel plate condition, air line and wiring pigtail
- Able to bind loads to proper safety requirements
- Able to back a trailer into tight spaces
- Know routes for safe travel and clearance
- Able to identify materials to be able to check loads
- Able to do logbook when necessary
- Capable of completing various types of paperwork with 95% accuracy
- Loads and unloads trucks with overhead crane and forklift
- Other duties as assigned
- Follows safety rules/practices and is safety conscious at all times
- Maintains good attitude with customers and company employees
- Must have good hygiene, work ethic, is punctual and has the ability to work independently as well as a team
- Possess excellent measuring skills, with ability to read and understand a tape measure to 1/32 of an inch
- Maintain a good attitude toward fast-paced change, lean manufacturing, and multi-tasking
- Dependable and regular attendance is necessary
SPECIALIZED SKILLS/CERTIFICATION:
- Possess a Class A license
- Maintain a current DOT physical card
- High School Diploma or GED
- Individuals must be able to perform each essential duty at a minimum satisfactory level
- Individuals must possess the required education/experience, job related characteristics and specialized skills/certifications
- Current MVR should show no more than one (1) speeding ticket
