Part-Time ACT and SAT Exam Prep Tutor
Huntington Learning Center of Little Rock is seeking part-time tutors to provide individualized ACT and SAT instruction in one or more of the following subjects:
- Math
- English
- Reading
- Science
You do not have to teach every subject. Tutors are assigned only to the sections in which they demonstrate proficiency.
All ACT and SAT instruction is provided one to one. Students attend two-hour tutoring sessions, and tutors may teach multiple sessions back to back. Many of our tutors work several days each week based on their availability and student scheduling needs.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- A teaching license is NOT required
- Every applicant must complete our practice ACT
- Applicants must score at least a 28 in each ACT section they wish to teach
- The qualifying score applies to the individual section, not the applicant’s overall composite score
- Applicants may qualify to teach one or multiple sections
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, encouraging, and dependable
- Comfortable working one to one with high school students
- Willing to follow Huntington’s established curriculum and instructional methods
- Successful completion of a background check
Schedule
This is a part-time position requiring a consistent weekly schedule. Most tutoring takes place during after-school, evening, and weekend hours.
Our instructional hours are:
Monday through Thursday: 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Sunday: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Applicants are not expected to be available during every hour listed. We are looking for tutors who can commit to a consistent schedule within these hours.
Students attend two-hour sessions. Depending on availability and enrollment, tutors may teach multiple sessions back to back and may work several days each week.
Work location
Instruction takes place in person at our Huntington Learning Center in Little Rock located in the Pleasant Ridge Town Center. This is not a remote tutoring position.
